Surgery scheduled early next week. Absolutely awful, and this is way more consequential for us Küng owners than Van Gils as Küng ownership is very low. He probably won't be back until autumn, and breaking even would be a feat in and of itself as it stands now.

All the splits in the race were formed largely by the crashes and conditions so those riders could easily bounce back in the next races. At least it’s not necessarily a sign their form is nonexistent.

Good news; Lund won the sprint for 6th.
Bad news; It was the only the sprint for 6th, especially because Laporte and De Gendt got away.
However, I have Laporte in my Spring Classics Game team.

vacek and brennan were both fine on molenberg , even if i did expect brennan to not be weaker than hagenes who helped him on the flat before the climb

Why on earth would you pick Bettiol?
Cause he picked him one year and Bettiol accidentally had the only consistent season in his career and now Toby thinks it's repeatable.

Why on earth would you pick Bettiol?
It's an annual tradition for Toby to do so. As is this question getting asked in response.

Anyone know what happened to Lorenzo Finn yesterday? Shipped over 9 minutes on what was supposed to be his day.

Didn't Finn crash in one of the Mallorcan races? Maybe it's some worrying long term effects after that. Should probably not have raced Figueira.

I was really considering Zana... on top of which, Vansevenant dropped an absolute stinker in Sardegna.

Why on earth would you pick Bettiol?

Because I haven't learned the concept of "kill your darlings" (and because he was consistently good in the fall and nowhere in the spring of last year).

Vacek was right behind Van der Poel on Molenberg and after that he was dropped by everyone and their dog.

Lund top-10 in both Omloop and KBK.
And Wang sneaking into the top-10 in Dodecanese, getting into profit.

Since Soudal had 2 riders in the break that got away in GC Vansevenant had to do a lot of work for them to keep the race together.

Biggest dissapoinment of the day for me even not the fact that Laporte could've easily finished in top-10 if he didn't stop to celebrate Brennan's win.

It's the moment that i realised that i excluded Luke Lamperti from my team after cheering for him for two days.

Facepalm.

Lund is looking like an awesome pick for those that have him. He wasn't even on my radar. Nice to see that Lampertti looks like a decent pick this year ... some promise from Nerurkar too... and Pericas scored a few in Sardegna. Not a terrible weekend... but not brilliant either. Good to see a couple of my unraced expensive picks are getting their seasons underway soon.

How do you think I - briefly - managed to get so high in the rankings after the Australian races?

I went with Mohoric and was looking forward to seeing how the two compared over the next two months. That's terrible timing in terms of his impact on the game :confused_old:

Me too, though I'll admit that Italian climbers are a bit of a blind spot for me. Unlike Vansevant, who I've had before, and chose to forget how frustrating he can be as a pick.

Mohoric looks like they will not score too differently...

Mohoric has some points on the board and looked decently lively today, I can't see him flopping completely.
